10 posts about Pregnancy

Editor’s note: Babyhuddle is THE place for pregnant women- whether you’re shopping, looking for advice on what to buy, or just seeking support as you progress through each trimester. Before you read ten of our favourite posts about pregnancy, take a look at some of the lists our community members have created and let us know if you found them helpful!

You can create your own list here. Let the organisation begin- this is where the nesting REALLY happens!

Being pregnant is such an exciting time, but also a period in your life when you’re likely to be asking so many questions too! Babyhuddle is here for you every step of the way and since we launched we’ve published a number of posts on the subject. We thought it would be a good idea to collect some of them in a single post for you to read, digest and share. If you have any questions, please leave a comment- we’re always happy to hear from you!

Our first post is a great one from Elite Blogger, Mellow Mummy. She writes about planning for her second child and the essentials she has listed for the new baby. Leading on from this, you might find Maria’s post on What to get when you’re Expecting a useful read too. This is a top ten of products that you actually need, to stop you overspending when you’re pregnant. Mummiafelice also wrote a fantastic post about her top pregnancy products too. And if you’re extending your family, Kate’s post on preparing a toddler for a new sibling is another must-read.

One thing that’s inevitable during pregnancy is that you’re going to have to give  birth at some point. Obviously. And that can be a daunting prospect, even for women who already have children. There is always an element of the unexpected during child birth and so it helps to be as well informed as possible. Mummy Bird wrote about having a home birth, while on the other end of the scale we have Stay at Home Mum’s post on giving birth via c-section. However your birth goes in the end, it’s no secret that many women like to plan it as much as possible before hand. If you’ve had a c-section previously and are thinking about trying for  a natural birth the second time around, you need to read Jayne’s fantastic post, Back to VBAC. If you’ve had a natural birth after a c-section, please let us know!

Finally, if your pregnancy hasn’t exactly gone to plan, you’re not alone. We’ve had a really interesting post from Muslim Mummy about the common pregnancy condition, Gestational Diabetes. Have you suffered from this during pregnancy? There are some great tips in this post, with good advice on managing diet and what to expect with doctor’s appointments throughout your pregnancy.

We’d like to end this round up with a post from our Elite Blogger’s Pregnancy Carnival, Rachel. She wrote a wonderfully empowering post about pregnancy and body image and is about to give birth to her own bundle of joy very soon!
